Forewarning of fire danger disregarded

The issue isn't whether “record levels” or “proportionately more money” was spent.  The issue is whether enough is spent to do the job.  When enough is not spent, the results are the same as if less were spent.  Conservatives just don't seem to care about doing the job right, only doing it cheaply.

Their perfidy knows no bounds:

Re: Forewarning of fire danger disregarded, ex-San Bernardino National Forest official says | Inland News | PE.com | Southern California News | News for Inland Southern California:

On Wednesday, Agriculture Department Undersecretary Mark Rey, the nation's top fire official, said funds meant to restore forests to health have reached record levels in recent years -- and that the San Bernardino National Forest has received proportionately more money than any of the country's 155 national forests.

We need to elect people who care about doing the right thing, not the cheap thing, to office.
